About me

After a career in teaching, I am now an artist educator, spending time with young people who are often experiencing clay for the first time.

Ceramics quickly became an important part of my life and has been growing ever since. I am continually inspired by many talented artists I have met who have shared their knowledge and expertise so generously.

I have a small studio at home and spend time at all hours of the day working through the many processes involved in producing ceramics. Using earthenware, stoneware and porcelain clays, I experiment with adapted forms, mixing elements of handbuilding and throwing on the wheel. Each piece is the result of a long process of evolution - from challenging experimentation, to testing and refinement.

I am gradually growing an artistic style through collections inspired by forms, textures and patterns around me in the natural world. These unique handmade ceramics are intended to tell a story, to make you think.

I am very fortunate to be able to do what I love - making pottery that is good to hold - that looks and feels interesting.
